KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Most of the time you go to the theater, you're asked to put away your phone-- but not at The Folly Theater.
The theater recently introduced a way that allows the audience to be a part of the show.
The VML Center Screen app allows audience members to choose what goes on while actors are on stage.
"The audience is in their seats, performers on the stage, always look for that connection. This is literally the connection they can make together, together help drive the show," VML Creative Director Brent Scholz said.
The theater also used the hashtag "center screen" for audience members to tweet about their experiences.
