KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Members of the Kansas Army National Guard returned home today after spending the past two weeks fighting wildfires in Colorado.

Kansas Guardsmen used their helicopter and a "Bambi Bucket" underneath to drop water on the massive fire burning near Fort Collins.

The soldiers say it's a mission that called for total concentration

The fire has burned more than 75,000 acres.

Crews say the fire went from 60 percent contained to 45 percent because of the 100 degree temperatures and strong winds.

Full containment is not expected until July 15th.
