LAWRENCE, Kan. - A water main break closed the intersection of 19th and Harper in Lawrence, Kan., on Tuesday.

The streets are expected to reopen Wednesday. Until then, drivers can take a detour around the repairs via Edgelea.

The break occurred around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Access to the the Douglas County Fairgrounds has not been affected.
