Wichita man's body found partially eaten by small dog

WICHITA, Kan. - Police are working to identify a body found inside a Wichita, Kan., apartment after it was partially eaten by a small dog.

According to NBC affiliate KSN TV, the man was found dead at the Riverpark Apartment complex on Saturday. His next-door neighbor had called police after he heard a dog barking and hadn't seen the man for several days.

When an employee at the apartment complex went to check on the tenant, he found the body. According to police, the small pug mix inside the apartment had eaten part of the corpse.

Officials are still working to identify the man. The dog is was taken to the city animal shelter.
