LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. - A Lee's Summit woman has seen more than her share of Presidential speeches. Marietta Kirkpatrick is 92 years old and competed in the Miss Missouri Nursing Home Pageant.
She stays active and still drives her 2003 Mustang a couple of hours a month.
Marietta says election season always reminds her of her favorite president.
"Well, I’ve seen a lot of them come and go. But I just loved President (Franklin Delano) Roosevelt,” said Marietta. “I’m kind of emotional about this. But he helped so many people get work."
Marietta has two children, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
