RAY COUNTY, Missouri - UPDATED, 7:50 p.m. - After inspection, authorities have re-opened the bridge.
EARLIER: A barge floating down the Missouri River near Lexington, Missouri struck a bridge Saturday afternoon.
Ray County Sheriff deputies shut down the Lexington Bridge on Highway 13 over the Missouri River after the barge struck the bridge.
The Missouri Department of Transportation was dispatching a bridge inspector to determine the extent of the damage.
It is unknown when the bridge may re-open.
