JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Child care providers in Missouri under investigation for abuse, neglect, or death could be banned from being in business until the case is resolved.
The courts would notify state health and social service agencies.
The legislation is in honor of a boy who died at a day care center in 2009. The owner continued operating the business after being charged in the case.
Gov. Jay Nixon must sign the bill to make it a law.
