OSCEOLA, Mo. - A Boy Scout was injured at summer camp and airlifted to a Kansas City hospital after hitting his head in the swimming pool.
Mark Brayer, Director of support for the Heat of America Council, said the boy hit his head on the pool. As a precaution, officials flew him to Children's Mercy Hospital.
The condition of the boy has not been released.
Officials could not release the scout's age or where he is from.
The boy was at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation in Osceola, Mo., near Truman Lake.
The camp is home to 6,600 Boy Scouts and 3,000 leaders each summer.
The 4,200 acre reservation has been home to 10-day camping sessions for boys in the area since 1929.
