KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One lane of southbound 71 Highway near Harrisonville, Mo., has reopened after two car crashes shut both lanes down for about an hour Monday afternoon.
Police say the traffic backup from an accident that occurred near 237th Street is responsible for a secondary crash.
No details on injuries were immediately available. A Life Flight helicopter has been ordered for one person.
MoDot advises that motorists headed southbound detour south on Route C in Peculiar to Route 2, then head east to 71.
