ST. LOUIS (AP) - A recently released court document shows a former specialist in the Missouri National Guard provided combat training to a white supremacist group whose members were preparing for an expected race war.

The document detailing the ex-guardsman's role in the American Front was made public in a Florida state court proceeding regarding charges against members of the group.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the 28-year-old Missouri man hasn't been charged. Court documents show he has cooperated with authorities, providing access to an old cellphone with text messages to American Front members.

Court documents also show that in July 2011, the then-guardsman went to Florida and trained members on the AK-47 assault rifle and fighting techniques.

The man's attorney was out of town and couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
