Former porn star quits Missouri high school teaching job after students find out about her past

ST LOUIS - A high school teacher in St. Louis quit her job after her adult film-star past was exposed.  

The Parkway School District placed Tera Myers on paid administrative leave through the end of the school year after a student confronted the science teacher about the adult films she made in the 1990s.

Myers has decided not to return to Parkway North in the fall.

Back in 2006, teachers and parents stood by Myers when she was suspended from her teaching job in Paducah, Kentucky.  But her contract wasn't renewed. 

Myers said back then making the films was her worst mistake.

"Anybody who's been in my classroom can tell you how much I love teaching, and how much I love these students. And that should be what matters more than anything I've ever done in my past," said Myers.
