CAMERON, Mo. - A man and two children were found dead in their home in Cameron, Mo., on Friday.
Police said they were called out to the 100 block of E. Fourth Street around 4:41 p.m. to investigate a house fire. While there wasn't an active fire, officials did smell smoke inside the house.
When they got inside, they discovered three bodies. Family members say a man in his 30s and his son and daughter, both under 10, were found dead. Police have not released any further details about the cause of death.
Relatives told 41 Action News that they are devastated by the deaths and asked for privacy as they grieve.
Police said they will hold a news conference Saturday and plan to release more details on their investigation.
