KANSAS CITY, Mo. - It looks like a proposal to turn Interstate-70 into a toll road is dead for the year.
A bill to rebuild a stretch of I-70 across the middle of the state and make it a toll road was introduced earlier in the year.
But now Missouri State Sen. Mike Kehoe, who authored the bill, says he will be surprised if the bill makes it out committee.
The idea had gotten backlash from truckers and gas station owners.
