IRON COUNTY, Mo. - A 6-year-old southeast Missouri girl who went missing while deer hunting with her father has been found safe eight hours later.
KMOV reports Mackenzie Hurt disappeared around 6 a.m. Saturday while hunting with her father in a wooded area, and she was found nearly 8 hours later at 2:15 p.m. walking along a road.
Police say 75 people, tracking dogs and emergency helicopters assisted with the search after the girl's father called for help.
The girl's orange vest and had were found during the search, and dogs were able to pick up her scent.
