LACLEDE, Mo. - Authorities in several Missouri communities are looking for a missing 82-year-old woman last seen 11 days ago when she left to visit some nearby relatives.
According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Wanda Jean Boxley hasn’t been seen since Nov. 16, when she drove from her home in Laclede to see some relatives who live about 10 miles away.
Boxley’s family said they don’t know of any medical conditions. They said she has not shown any signs of dementia.
There were several reported sightings of her later on Nov. 16 in Brookfield, which is about five miles west of Laclede on Hwy 36 in north-central Missouri.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office used planes in a search Nov. 20, but has made no progress in finding her. Volunteers have been searching area roadways as well.
Boxley has family in Springfield, about four hours south of the main search area, so authorities are looking for her there as well.
Boxley is described as 5-4 and 135 pounds. She has blue eyes and grayish-red hair. The vehicle she was driving was a light yellow 1991 Grand Marquis with Missouri tags WS7 J0J.
