LEXINGTON, Mo. - A missing woman was found safe early Wednesday after an hours-long search in Lafayette County.
Family members reported the woman missing about 11:25 p.m. Tuesday after she went to take a bath, according to Lexington, Mo., police.
Officers from the Lexington Police Department, along with firefighters and Lafayette County Sheriff's deputies, spent more than six hours looking for the 66-year-old woman.
A man who lives about a mile from the woman's home called police just after 6 a.m. Wednesday.
He found the missing woman sleeping on his couch with his dog, police said.
The woman was confused and did not know how she made it to that house.
She was taken to an area hospital.
