POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. - Authorities have ended the AMBER Alert for a 5-year-old southeast Missouri girl who was apparently abducted early Wednesday morning by a registered sex offender. Poplar Bluff Police said Abigail Berthoff was found safe. Jeffrey D. Shelton, her suspected abductor, is in custody according to authorities.
