PLATTE CITY, Mo. - It was a scene out of "I Love Lucy" Saturday at a Platte County winery Saturday.
Wine lovers gathered at the Jowler Creek Winery to mark the start grape harvesting season. One of the more unique activities they took part in was a grape stomp.
"People are going to be taking off the stems. They will then dump them in some buckets and people will literally get in and stomp around," Colleen Gerke, the winery's owner, said.
The grapes used in the event will not be used in the wine.
The winery also offered people in attendance samples of their wine and a BBQ lunch.
