KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Authorities in Missouri say a missing woman called her boyfriend Monday morning and said she was okay, but police are still looking for her and her 4-year-old daughter.
The Missouri Highway Patrol has now put out an endangered missing person's advisory for Rachel Koechner, 28, and her daughter, Zoee.
Koechner and her daughter live in Brookfield, Mo., about 120 miles northeast of Kansas City.
Officers went to the hotel after the phone call, but couldn’t find Koechner or her daughter.
The pair is believed to be with Koechner’s ex-husband, 37-year-old Devon Sandner.
The sheriff said Koechner’s boyfriend sensed hesitance in her voice during the call, so authorities are still doing everything they can to find her and her daughter.
Authorities believe them to be in Sandner’s vehicle, a 2003 Ford F-150 extended cab, Missouri license plate 09J-718. The truck is thought to have a dented tailgate.
Officials ask anyone with information to call the Chariton County Sheriff’s office at 660-288-3277.
