BELTON, Mo. - A 6-year-old boy was critically injured Saturday night when he apparently darted out from between two parked vehicles and was struck by a moving car.
The crash took place shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday on Missouri Highway 58 near Cherry Hill Road.
Belton Police said the 73-year-old man driving the car stopped after the crash and has not been cited in connection with it. Witnesses told police that the boy ran out from between two parked vehicles, which led to the crash.
The boy was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where his condition was reported to be critical Saturday night.
