KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Several students are being questioned by police after a gun was found in a classroom in Hickman Mills School District.
The principal placed the classroom on lockdown on Friday after one of the students in the classroom texted their parents, saying there was a gun.
Police were alerted and after searching the students and their backpacks, they found a female student in possession of a gun.
It’s unclear at this time which student may have brought it.
No one was injured in the incident. Classes will go on as scheduled.
A note is being sent home to parents to inform them of what happened.
