BARTON COUNTY, Mo. - Two people suffered non life-threatening injuries Saturday in a drain derailment.
The Missouri Highway Patrol confirms a train derailed near the Missouri and Kansas state line in western Barton County, Mo.
A spokeswoman with Kansas City Southern says two trains, one belonging to KC Southern and another train, belonging to Burlington Northern Sante Fe, collided just after 4 p.m. north of Mulberry, Mo.
The spokeswoman said two trains, five locomotives and 18 cargo cars derailed in the crash.
Reports that five engines and other rail cars derailed following some sort of collision, though no other information was immediately available.
