LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. - Just days after the July 4 electrocution of a girl and her brother, a Missouri woman died after she was shocked at the Lake of the Ozarks.
The Lake Sun Leader reports ( http:// bit.ly / LJlRmS ) the victim, a 26-year-old Hazlewood woman, died Saturday night near the Dry Branch Cove at the lake.
According to the paper, the woman was swimming with two children near the 4-mile marker when they felt a current of electricity in the water.
“The two children swam away from the dock,” the Sun Leader reported. “The woman swam toward the dock and died.”
Just four days earlier, Alexandra Anderson, 13, and her 8-year-old brother, Brayden, died in the lake when they were shocked while swimming near a dock.
Investigators have blamed improper wiring in their deaths.
An autopsy was planned Monday for the Hazlewood woman.
