KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Baseball fans will get a taste of Kansas City at the All-Star Game this year.

The All-Star menu will feature ARAMARK, the exclusive food and beverage partner of the Kansas City Royals and 10 other Major League Baseball teams.

Erin Wishon, ARAMARK’s Executive Chef at Kauffman Stadium, and a team of chef’s have been working since Jan. to create the All-Star menu that will include everything from barbecue, brisket to the Royals bacon blue hot dogs.

Few regions of the United States are as defined by their local cuisine as much as Kansas City is defined by its amazing barbecue,” said Chef Wishon in a press release. “We’ll have fans visiting from across the country and we want to show them what Kansas City is all about—delicious barbecue!”

Five thousand pounds of meat including 2,400 pounds of brisket, 1,800 pounds of pulled pork and more than 600 racks of ribs will be smoked and prepared by chefs inside the stadium, all to be topped off by 650 gallons of barbecue sauce over the course of the weekend.

“Kansas City is rich with food tradition and we’re excited to add an extra layer of excitement to the fans’ All-Star experience,” said Marc Bruno, President of ARAMARK Sports and Entertainment. “Our team has spent many months preparing for this fun-filled weekend, and we’re excited to finally showcase all of our hard work and planning on this great, national stage.”
