KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Crews are working on putting the final touches on Kauffman Stadium before the All-Star Game events.
They've made numerous improvements and upgrades to the stadium – including a new pattern that you'll see in the middle of the field.
“They've easily put in 16-hour days and nights on making sure it stays wet and making sure people stay off of it,” said Mike Swanson, vice president of communications and broadcasting for the Royals.
Other improvements include minor construction, turning the weight room into an interview room and adding new signs and banners.
