KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Big time celebrities taking part in All-Star festivities turned into construction workers to help tornado victims.

They helped build the frames for nine new homes for the Habitat for Humanity organization outside Kauffman Stadium.

Blue Springs native and singer David Cook, and Kansas City, Kan. native and actor Eric Stonestreet were among those offering help.

Stonestreet says it's just great to be able to return home and help those in need.

"It's great to come home and strike out in front of 30-thousand people", said actor Eric Stonestreet.

Two of the homes will be taken to Joplin and Tuscaloosa, Ala.
