KANSAS CITY, Kansas - The University of Kansas Hospital is the official healthcare provider for All-Star Week. Physicians and nurses from the hospital will provide first-aid at many all-star week activities.
The president of the University of Kansas Hospital, Bob Page said he was on the phone with Major League Baseball Properties shortly after finding out all-star week would be held here in Kansas City.
"We've set our bar high to be the best hospital in the country, and to be recognized by Major League Baseball as the provider of choice to the best players in the country, what an opportunity,” says Page.
A spokesperson for Major League Baseball said they were thrilled to have this level of comprehensive healthcare experts on their team.
