KANSAS CITY, Missouri - Baseball and blogging -- that's how some fans got to experience the Royals game.

Bloggers were invited on the field before Tuesday night's Royals game and watched media interviews with manager Ned Yost.

They also watched the game from a complimentary suite.

The event was for fans to understand the importance of social media and sports coverage.

Fans didn't have to write sports blogs to be invited.

"I'm a teacher, I'm an educator. So my blog is absolutely about learning, teaching and education in general, particularly how technology relates to that,” said teacher and blogger Sean Nash.

The bloggers also attended the Royals post game news conference.
