KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Is now their time? With Saturday night’s game, the Kansas City Royals will look to keep their hot streak alive against one of the best teams in the league, the Boston Red Sox.
It seems as though fans are ready to jump on the winning streak as well. Attendance for Saturday's game will reach over 35,000 people, marking tonight's game the first August game to reach that number since 2003.
More recently, the stadium reached capacity for this year's Opening Day.
The buzz first began around 11 a.m. on Saturday, with ticket sales reportedly going quickly. Once tickets sell out, the only tickets that will be sold are for standing room only.
Fans began lining up early in the afternoon, waiting in line for the gate at Kauffman Stadium to open.
