KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Royals left fielder Alex Gordon picked up another Gold Glove Award Tuesday night, joining 1B Eric Hosmer and C Sal Perez as the team's award recipients.
Tuesday’s award marks Gordon’s third Gold Glove award in the last three years, while the awards to Hosmer and Perez were the first of their careers.
The 2013 season marks the first time the Royals have had three Gold Glove award winners.
Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar was also nominated at his position in the American League, an award that eventually went to Baltimore Orioles SS J.J. Hardy.
Lorenzo Cain was also nominated for American League Center fielders, an award that went to Orioles' Adam Jones.
