MINNEAPOLIS - Zack Greinke was good. Brian Duensing was better. Subsequently, the Twins beat the Royals 4-3 to finish off a series sweep.
Greinke had a no hitter going through 4.2 innings. With two outs in the fifth, the Twins plated three runs to take a 3-1 lead. Greinke allowed four runs on five hits over eight innings. He is 0-4 with an 8.18 ERA against the Twins this season.
Duensing continued his successful move from the bullpen to the rotation. He scattered six hits over eight innings and only allowed one run. He also struck out seven. The Royals did manage to score two runs in the ninth off of Matt Capps to close the gap. However, it was not enough.
Josh Fields, Wilson Betemit and Alex Gordon each had two hits for Kansas City. Fields is hitting .412 since his return from the disabled list.
