SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Former University of Kansas star Thomas Robinson was ejected Wednesday night when the now-Sacramento King elbowed an opposing player during his team’s victory over the Detroit Pistons.
Robinson, a rookie this year, hit Jonas Jerebko with a vicious elbow, knocking him to the floor early in the fourth quarter.
"It was just in the heat of the game," Jerebko said. "I'm all right and it's all good. I have nothing against him. I have no problem at all."
Robinson finished the game with seven rebounds in 12 minutes. The Kings won the game 105-103.
After the game, the 2011-12 Big 12 Player of the Year and consensus All-American apologized on Twitter .
"Apologize for my actions mistakes happen I take full responsibility lost my cool will never happen again !"
