Jack Harry and Frank Boal say it took a whole lot of guts for Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel to lead his team to a victory on Sunday.

A little more than 24 hours before kickoff, Crennel witnessed Jovan Belcher, who just minutes before had shot his girlfriend to death, take his own life in the parking lot of the Chiefs’ training facility at Arrowhead Stadium.

“What Romeo did, I thought was just terrific. And the coaching staff,” Jack Harry said Sunday night on 41 Action Sport Sunday. “He was a steady hand in all of this. You could just tell what influence he had on his team.”
