KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Big 12 Tournament is not the only game in town this week in Kansas City this week. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Tournament is also taking place at Municipal Auditorium.

But some NAIA fans are concerned that the Big 12 tourney will hurt NAIA attendance.

The attendance isn't what it used to be, according to long-time fan Albert Rambo.

"I've been coming here for years and this place used to be packed; now it's an okay crowd," Rambo said. "But maybe some of the people at the Big 12 will come here between games and enjoy some more basketball."

Christian Oberquell is another NAIA faithful.  He works for Montana State University Northern and helps with the basketball team.

"I think NAIA fans are going to be here and support their teams; I don't see them choosing the Big 12 over NAIA," Oberquell explained.

"I do believe that some of the NAIA players would enjoy going to the Sprint Center to see the Big 12 players in action," he added.

Jason Mulvaney believes that the NAIA is the place to be.  He brought his daughter and niece to the game on Monday.

"It's a great atmosphere, constant action and it's great for the family," he explained. "It's also cheaper than the Big 12."
