Jayhawks, Wildcats find out Big 12 football schedules after West Virginia settles Big East lawsuit

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Big 12 conference released its football schedule on Tuesday, and that means new conference opponents for both KU and K-State.

The Kansas Jayhawks will host Big 12 newcomer TCU in its 2012 conference opener and will travel to new league member West Virginia in its regular season finale. KU will play six home games. The Jayhawks open their season at home against South Dakota State on Saturday, September 1.

KU plays at K-State on October 6. The Jayhawks travel to Oklahoma on October 20.

Kansas State plays seven games at home. That includes its home opener against Missouri State on September 1. The University of Miami in Florida comes to Manhattan the following week.

K-State plays at Oklahoma for its conference opener on September 22. The Cats travel to West Virginia on October 20 and TCU on November 10. K-State ends its season at home against Texas on December 1.
