NEW YORK CITY - Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein is moments away from finding out if he’s the first Wildcats player to win the Heisman trophy.

Klein attended a pre-Heisman news conference Saturday evening in New York City, just two hours before the announcement. He is one of three finalists. Texas A&M red-shirt freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel and Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o are the other two finalists.

Klein led Kansas State to their seventh 11-win season in school history and second BCS bowl berth. He finished with 37 touchdowns this season.

Manziel is considered the front runner. He could become the first freshman ever to win the Heisman.
