LAWRENCE, Kan. - Seems like everybody has something to say about the new University of Kansas uniforms unveiled this week.
Even head coach Bill Self.
Adidas made the uniforms for the Jayhawks and five other teams to wear in their respective conference tournaments. Reaction has been mixed, at best. Many fans aren’t too keen on the shorts particularly.
Self said the uniforms aren’t all that concerning.
“I probably don’t think as much of them as I do the normal ones we wear,” he said this week. “But for a game or two I don’t think it’s that big a deal in the Big 12 tournament. Sometimes you gotta be a team player, and Adidas has certainly been good to us.”
North Carolina and Michigan State have declined to wear the new uniforms.
