Former Kansas Jayhawk named NBA’s most mediocre player

He was the Kansas Jayhawks’ leading scorer on the 2008 national championship team and a first-round draft pick later that year.

He’s in his fourth season in the NBA, where he’s racked up 279 games played with 104 starts, but according to the Wall Street Journal , Brandon Rush is nothing more than mediocre.

So mediocre in fact, the newspaper named Rush, a Kansas City native, the NBA’s MOST mediocre player .

Not all NBA players were eligible for the “award."

Among other restrictions, the Journal eliminated all past All-Stars, NBA champions, top 10 draft picks (Rush was No. 13 in 2008) and anyone who has ever scored 30 points in a single game (Rush dropped 29 on consecutive days in 2009, but has never hit the 30-point plateau).
