SAN FRANCISCO - Former Missouri Tiger Aldon Smith was stabbed early Saturday at a house party in San Jose, his current NFL club said.
The San Francisco 49ers say the linebacker, who picked up 14 sacks last year in his rookie season, sustained minor injuries and that he is recovering comfortably.
Two other people sustained minor injuries when they were shot at the party late Friday or early Saturday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
"It was pretty chaotic when law enforcement arrived," Sgt. Jose Cardoza told the Chronicle. "There were at least 100 people, and there was a lot of alcohol involved."
The 6-foot-4, 258-pound Smith was the seventh overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft out of Missouri.
