COLUMBIA, Mo. - The eyes of the college basketball world will be on Columbia Saturday night as the Kansas Jayhawks travel down I-70 to take on the Missouri Tigers. The focus will be on the sure-to-be exciting action, with teams led by two coaches that also get their fair share of media coverage.
MU coach Frank Haith is happy to see the attention be back on his team, especially after his start with the Tigers. Many in the fan base questioned the hire, with those uncertainties only growing after allegations of a scandal at the University of Miami, Haith's former program, brought back former worries for Missouri fans.
Those fears faded, though, after Haith led the Tigers to a 14-0 start. Mizzou now has a 20-2 record and top 10 ranking as the team prepares to face their biggest rivals, the seven-time Big 12 conference champions Kansas Jayhawks.
Coach Haith sat down with Jack Harry to talk about his team’s season, one of college sports most heated rivalries, taking over a team built by another coach, and moving past controversy. Click on the video above to see Haith’s interview, and leave your comments below on how you think the coach is doing and who you think will come out victorious between the Jayhawks & Tigers.
