Mizzou announces 2013 football recruiting class

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri Tigers stayed close to home with their 2013 recruiting class. The Tigers signed 20 players, including 11 from the state of Missouri. Four prospects from the Kansas City area signed with Mizzou.

The relatively small class did not impress the recruiting services. Rivals.com ranked Missouri's group as the worst in the SEC. Still, Gary Pinkel believes he landed some quality talent.

"We never look at any stars on any players. That's never happened. We don't ever look at any rankings. That's never happened. We do what we do, and I think over the years it's proved that it's worked in a very, very positive way for us."
