Missouri football coach Gary Pinkel explained some comments he made about the late Joe Paterno.
Last week at SEC Media Day, Pinkel took some heat for calling Paterno “a great man.”
On Monday, the NCAA slammed Penn State with a $60 million fine, a four-year postseason bowl ban and capped scholarships at 20 below the normal limit for the next four years. The organization also took away 14 years of Paterno's victories following the sexual child abuse scandal.
Pinkel came out in support of the NCAA sanctions.
“They did the right thing…right’s right and wrong is wrong, and (Paterno) was wrong,” he said.
