COLUMBIA, Missouri - More trouble for former Missouri running back Derrick Washington. He was arrested early Sunday morning at his home in Columbia on suspicion of third-degree domestic assault, which is a misdemeanor. The Boone County Sheriffs Office did not immediately release specific details of the allegation. Washington posted $1,000 bond.
Washington was already dealing with legal issues. He had been previously charged with deviate sexual assault in connection with a separate incident that occurred in June. He is scheduled to be arraigned on that charge on Sept. 22.
Washington was permanently suspended from the Missouri football team in early September.
