KANSAS CITY, MO. - A Chiefs defensive assistant coach faces a DUI charge after a Sunday night wreck.
A Kansas City Police Department spokesman told 41 Action News the incident involved Adam Zimmer, who also serves as the team's assistant linebackers coach.
Dispatchers sent officers to a wreck about 9 p.m. near Ward Parkway and Huntington Road.
Zimmer was at the scene and issued a city citation for DUI, according to the police spokesman.

No word on how the wreck occurred or the number of vehicles involved.
A spokesman from the team said they are gathering information and could have more to say later today.
