KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks, but for one Kansas City Chiefs fan, it’s also a time to ask for a win.
Chiefs wide receiver Dexter McCluster took part in the team’s annual home delivery of a Thanksgiving meal to low-income residents in Kansas City this week. The deliveries have provided a meal for more than 16,000 people during the last 20 years.
But with the Chiefs 1-9 record landing them in last place in the AFC West this year, one fan took the turkey -- and gave McCluster and earful in return.
“Y’all better start winning some games,” Ms. Louise said. “I’ve been praying, but y’all got to work a little bit harder.”
After signing a few autographs and delivering the meal, McCluster acknowledged Ms. Louise’s motivational talk.
“She definitely gave me a pep talk,” McCluster said.
