KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Here is a timeline of the murder of Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher's girlfriend at the couple's home and his subsequent suicide at Arrowhead Stadium, according to the Kansas City Police Department.
7:45 a.m. - Police receive a call from Jovan Belcher's mother saying Belcher shot his girlfriend.
7:52 a.m. - The first officers were sent to 5400 Crysler.
7:59 a.m. - The first officers arrive at 5400 Crysler.
8 a.m. - Police receive a second call from a male caller.
8:01 a.m. - Dispatchers send a second group of officers to the Chiefs practice facilities at 1 Arrowhead Drive. Officers were unaware the two calls were related.
8:09 a.m. - Officers arrive at the Chiefs practice facilities at 1 Arrowhead Stadium. They heard -- but did not see -- Belcher fire the gunshot.
9:30 a.m. - Kansas City Police confirm shooter at Chiefs practice facility is a player.
9:54 a.m. - Kansas City Chiefs confirm incident happening at Arrowhead facilities.
10 a.m. - Police confirm the Chiefs player is Jovan Belcher.
1:08 p.m. - Chiefs release statement expressing sympathy and sadness from entire Chiefs family.
2 p.m. - Police named Belcher’s shooting victim as Kasandra Perkins, 22.
