KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Chiefs fans headed to Arrowhead Stadium donned in black Sunday morning, hoping to send a message to Chiefs management. Fans want General Manager Scott Pioli fired.
The 1-8 Chiefs face the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon, but many of the fans are not expected to wear Chiefs red.
The newly formed "Save Our Chiefs" organization plans to protest the game and general manager Scott Pioli by wearing black to the game and encouraging other fans to do the same.
Marty McDonald is one of the founding members of the "Save Our Chiefs" organization.
"It's not walking away from the franchise, it's not turning our back, it's not not show up, we're here to support the players. But, when you look inside Arrowhead and you see all the empty red seats and contrast it with folks dressed in black today, it's going to send a message," McDonald said.
For the past three home games, the organization has hired an aircraft to fly a banner over Arrowhead that read, Restore Hope: Fire Pioli.

McDonald says the organization has thousands of Facebook followers who are donating money to support their mission. He says fans are in mourning and are tired of the level of play they're seeing.
He believes Pioli needs to be fired.
"General manager Scott Pioli has to be fired. The Patriot was just has not worked," McDonald added. "We need a wholesome change in the organization.
