KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The parking lot of Arrowhead Stadium was full of Chiefs fans looking forward to a winning season.
Decked out in Chiefs red, many fans showed up early to guarantee a good parking spot and good grilling before the game.
Christina Engle decided to put chicken on the grill to honor her opponents.
"I'm grilling chicken because we’re playing the chicken hawks," Engle said.
Engle was not alone in her grilling efforts before the game. Hundreds of fans filled the parking lot hours before the game.
Chris Rager drove in from Arkansas to watch the game with his 5-year-old son.
"He's 5 years old and he's been to 30 games. He loves the Chiefs," Rager said.
The Chiefs head into the regular season with a 1-3 record in the preseason.
That record doesn't bother die-hard fans who believe whole-heatedly that this will be a playoff season for the Chiefs.
