KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Chiefs have released offensive lineman Eric Winston.
Early Wednesday night, NBC Sports’ Pro Football Talk reported on its blog that the Chiefs cut Winston, who started at offensive tackle for just one season.
A short time later, Winston, via a tweet, confirmed the report.
“Just wanted to confirm that I have been released,” Winston wrote. “Even though it was an incredibly tough year on and off the field last year, I wouldn’t trade the relationships I made in KC and the overall experience I had for anything. It was an honor to be a Chief.”
