KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Today is the 43rd anniversary of the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl win.
The Chiefs beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-7 behind Len Dawson's superb quarterbacking and Jan Stenerud's three field goals.
The victory on January 11, 1970 marked the Chiefs' only Super Bowl victory in franchise history. They made it to the top game only one other time: Super Bowl I in 1967, when they lost 35-10 to the Green Bay Packers.
The last time the Chiefs made it to the playoffs was after the 2010 season. The team finished 2-14 in 2012.
